    Walk in the footsteps of early pioneers at this 10,000 sq foot state-of-the-art historical museum & one of the newest in Texas. Enjoy interactive displays and more that take you back to 1823, where Stephen F. Austin established a headquarters here for his colony in Mexican Texas. The San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site shares the stories of early settlers in this region in new and exciting ways. Fun for the entire family!
