Small Town Christmas is a longstanding tradition in our community and we invite you to join us Friday & Saturday, December 3rd & 4th for our 28th Annual Small Town Christmas Celebration. It’s an excellent opportunity to make new Holiday Memories and share the Christmas Spirit with family, friends and loved ones.  Start your holidays off right with a visit to the Mini Park, just north of the Square, where local businesses and organizations decorate the grand old trees to perfection!  A great walking track, playground equipment, and lighted gazebo make this a very inviting area from Thanksgiving through the weekend of January 1st.Come Visit Santa at Small Town Christmas

Small Town Christmas comes to life with the Holiday Baking Contest & Sale sponsored by First National Bank of Bellville and the Friday night festivities on the Square. The Ringing of the Church Bells and Lighting of the Luminaries surrounding the Austin County Courthouse set the scene for the Lighted Small Town Christmas Parade and Grand Entrance of Santa Clause. Come and enjoy the holiday sounds of Bellville's very own Christian Rock Band Outcry. They will be entertaining Friday night and Saturday at the Courthouse Stage. Make sure you bring your friends and family for a fun filled night on the square! Don't forget the Late Night Shopping to help you get a jump on your Christmas list. Late Night Shopping come complete with Christmas music and Wassail & Cookies for your enjoyment.

Saturday offers even more Holiday Delights such as Breakfast with Santa at Newman’s Bakery, pictures with Santa, Gingerbread House Decorating, and The “All I Want For Christmas” Children’s Pageant.  Parents- get an early start on your Christmas shopping with over 90 Market Day Vendors.  Revel in the early morning musical offerings of our Junior High and High School Bands and Choirs.  Local recording artist and KTEX radio personality Troy Arndt will be our host for the Saturday’s events and we’ll even have the KTEX Country Cruiser here! Looking down to the beautifully decorated Gazebo, we will have our very own O’Bryant 3rd Grade Choir and our Bellville United Methodist Children's Chior who will be sharing some of their favorite songs of Christmas.    The Children’s Wonderland will have treats like Pony Rides, Petting Zoo and a Moonwalk along with Face Painting and more! A new activity will be taking place this year...have your Christmas picture taken atop a beautiful horse decked outin the Christmas Spirit! Oh, and for those with an adventurous spirit, you will want to try the Bubble Runners and the Bungee Jumps! On the south side of the square the Austin County Jail Museum will be open for tours   Scrooge may be seen strolling around the Square, and you might even talk Scrooge out of a few pence!  To top off the night, wear your PJ's and join us in Clark Park for "Movie in the Park" featuring Polar Express which will be shown on a giant 21" screen!. The movie is FREE and will begin at 6:00 PM. Bring a can good to donate to the Bellville Christian Food Pantry and receive a free cup of hot chocolate. Concessions will be available for sale benefiting the Boys and Girls Club Keystone group.  WOW, what a fun packed day for all to enjoy!
